CAUTION: WHAT NOT TO DO

    .        NEVER click or say “YES” to an SMS received on your phone if you did not speak to   anyone in that debt counselling company sending you messages.

2.      NEVER provide your ID number or copy if you do not know the reason or are not   comfortable with that debt counselling company. (understand the importance first)

3.      NEVER provide your Banking details if you do not know the reason or are not comfortable with that debt counselling company. (understand the importance first)

4.      NEVER sign a document without understanding it until you understand why you should sign with that debt counselling company (it should be explained in the language of your choice.

5.       NEVER use a debt counsellor that is not registered (use the link below to search for a registered debt counsellor using the Company name or name of the debt counsellor)  https://www.ncr.org.za/register_of_registrants/registered_dc.ph or by calling the NCR on 011 554 26006.

6.     NEVER give or pay the debt counsellor money to pay your credit providers.
